05.04.07 Amber Philman Kennedy Space Center, Fla. 321-867-2468 MEDIA ADVISORY: 17-07 COMMUNITY LEADERS BRIEFING ON MAY 11 TO DISCUSS EXPLORING SPACE The 2007 annual Community Leaders Briefing, which will focus on many of the space industry's most important aspects, is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. KSC Director Bill Parsons and members of the management team will meet with leaders from throughout Florida to discuss a variety of KSC and NASA activities. Topics will include updates on the Space Shuttle Program, the Constellation Program, International Space Station spacecraft processing, Commercial Orbital Transportation Services, the Launch Services Program and the Shuttle Launch Experience, a new attraction soon to open at the KSC Visitor Complex. Attendees will meet at the Dr. Kurt H. Debus Conference Facility for registration and a buffet breakfast. The briefing will begin at 9 a.m. Following the briefing, guests will have the opportunity to see exhibits at the KSC Visitor Complex. A variety of community leaders, business executives, state and local government officials and community organizations have been invited.
