The team has completed prelaunch loading of hypergolic propellants (monomethyl hydrazine and nitrogen tetroxide) into the forward and aft reaction control systems and the orbital maneuvering system pods, as well as fuel loading for the orbiter's auxiliary power units. Late this week, workers will begin loading the hypergolic fuel into the solid rocket booster hydraulic power units. Technicians at the pad are in the process of opening Discovery's payload bay doors. The doors will remain open for about three and a half days for payload testing and sensor installation in the orbiter boom sensor system. Tomorrow, integrated testing of the multi-purpose logistics module Leonardo is scheduled to begin. -end- To subscribe to the list, send a message to: ksc-subscribe@newsletters.nasa.gov To remove your address from the list, send a message to: ksc-unsubscribe@newsletters.nasa.gov
