WEATHER AGAIN SCRUBS NASA'S CLOUDSAT AND CALIPSO LAUNCH

The launch of NASA's CloudSat and CALIPSO (Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and
Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations) satellites from
Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., was scrubbed this morning at 4:24
a.m. EDT due to thick clouds.

Launch has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 27, at 6:02:37 a.m.
EDT. Launch commentary on NASA TV starts at 4 a.m. EDT.

The weather is expected to improve for a Thursday morning launch
attempt. The current forecast calls for an 80 percent probability of
acceptable weather conditions.

Media covering the launch on Thursday should meet at the Vandenberg
main gate at 5 a.m. EDT (2 a.m. PDT) for escort to the press site.
Media needing accreditation for launch should call Staff Sgt. Allen
Puckett at (805) 606-3595 at the 30th Space Wing Public Affairs
Office.

A recorded CloudSat and CALIPSO launch status update is available at:
(805) 734-2693.
