NASA HOSTS ZERO-G FLIGHTS AT SPACE SHUTTLE LANDING FACILITY

Media are invited to NASA's Space Shuttle Landing Facility at Kennedy 
Space Center on Saturday, Nov. 5 to witness weightless flight 
provided by Zero Gravity Corporation and interview teachers who are 
flying and performing simple microgravity experiments to take back to 
their students. 

The flights provided by the firm, also known as ZERO-G of Fort 
Lauderdale, Fla., are part of a pilot program with NASA demonstrating 
expanded access to and use of the space shuttle runway and landing 
facility for non-NASA activities. 


Media Events:  
9:30 a.m.
View flyers boarding the aircraft  
10 a.m.
View takeoff of "G-FORCE ONE" aircraft  
10 -11 a.m.
Interviews with Astronauts Bruce Melnick, Rick Searfoss and Bob 
Springer along with NASA and ZERO-G Management  
11:15 a.m.
Interviews with teachers following flight  
11:30 a.m.
Tour of plane and interviews with pilots and staff  
Noon
Return to KSC News Center   

Media interested in attending the event must be at the KSC News Center 
by 9 a.m. Saturday for transportation to the Shuttle Landing 
Facility. 

Permanently badged media interested in attending this event are 
requested to contact the KSC Press Site (321/867-2468) by close of 
business Friday, Nov. 4. 

Media without KSC credentials should submit their accreditation 
request via the online accreditation Web site at:

Media must be properly dressed in long pants and closed shoes with low 
heels. Sleeveless shirts are not allowed.
