(Phone: 321/867-2468) KSC Release No. 4-03 NOTICE TO EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS: MISSION STS-107 WEB COVERAGE EVENTS SET Kennedy Space Center's web coverage events have been set for the launch of Space Shuttle Columbia on mission STS-107, scheduled for launch Thursday, Jan. 16. Cris Guidi will serve as host for all three of KSC Direct's STS-107 programs. Programming begins on Tuesday, Jan. 14 with Shuttle processing specialist John Guidi and SPACEHAB specialist Mike Kinslow. NASA astronaut Janice Voss, a veteran of five Shuttle flights, will join KSC Direct for Thursday's launch day program. Viewers will see informative programming highlighting the objectives of mission STS-107, as well as the crew and payloads. During the program, featured guests will answer questions submitted to the KSC Direct Question Boards from space enthusiasts around the world. The KSC Direct! home page and Question Boards are now available at http://www.ksc.nasa.gov/KSCDirect/event2.htm. In addition to KSC Direct, KSC's Live Launch Countdown site located at http://www-pao.ksc.nasa.gov/shuttle/countdown/sts107/index.htm features real-time updating as milestones occur during the countdown, keeping site visitors informed with the very latest news. The Live Launch Countdown site will also provide downloadable video clips of prelaunch and launch day events. Videos will be available in RealMedia format in two sizes for users with 56K modems or Cable/broadband connections. Those who would like to test their knowledge of the STS-107 mission, crew and payloads are invited to take the STS-107 Mission Quiz.
