MISSION STS-107 -SPACEHAB/ FREESTAR MICROGRAVITY RESEARCH MISSION VEHICLE: Columbia/OV-102 LAUNCH DATE: TBD MISSION DURATION: 16 days CREW: Husband, McCool, Anderson, Chawla, Brown, Clark, Ramon ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE AND INCLINATION: 150 nautical miles/39 degrees Shuttle Processing Note: Following inspections of Columbia's Main Propulsion System (MPS) flow liners that identified three cracks on engine No. 2 liquid hydrogen flow liner, mission managers delayed the launch date until a full engineering analysis is complete. MISSION STS-112 -- 15TH ISS FLIGHT (9A) - BA, ITS S1 VEHICLE: Atlantis/OV-104 LAUNCH DATE: August 22 (Under Review) MISSION DURATION: 10 days CREW: Ashby, Melroy, Wolf, Sellers, Magnus, Yurchikhin ORBITAL ALTITUDE AND INCLINATION: 122 nautical miles, 51.6 degrees Shuttle Processing Note: Processing continues for Atlantis' launch to the International Space Station. Controller tests are complete on Auxiliary Power Units No. 2 and 3. Left-hand Orbital Maneuvering System (OMS) engine heat shield installation is scheduled for today. Inspections of Atlantis identified three cracks on engine No. 1 liquid hydrogen flow liner. MISSION: STS-113 - 16th ISS Flight (11A) - ITS, P1 VEHICLE: Endeavour/OV-105 LAUNCH DATE: October 6 (Under Review) CREW: Wetherbee, Loria, Lopez-Alegria, Herrington; (ISS up) Bowersox, Budarin, Thomas; (ISS down) Korzun, Whitson, Treschev ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE AND INCLINATION: 122 nautical miles/51.6 degrees Shuttle Processing Note: Eddy current testing of Endeavour's liquid oxygen and hydrogen flow liners are complete. Ultrasound and borescope inspections continue. Technicians have identified two cracks, the first on engine one and the second on engine two liquid hydrogen flow liner. The cracks are similar to the ones discovered on the other three orbiters. In parallel to the flow liner inspections, Shuttle Endeavour processing continues for its next mission to the International Space Station. Removal of the Multi-Purpose Logistics Module from the payload bay is scheduled for today. ORBITER MAJOR MODIFICATION PERIOD VEHICLE: Discovery/OV-103 Shuttle Processing Note: Discovery is awaiting the start of its Orbiter Major Modification (OMM) period that is scheduled to begin at the Kennedy Space Center late this summer.
