[PATCH 5/7] Mute some compiler warnings

This patch mutes follwing compiler warnings:
  - warning: assignment discards ?const? qualifier from
    pointer target type [enabled by default],
  - warning: variable ?page_offset? set but not used
    [-Wunused-but-set-variable].
