Hi,
kmail 4:20.04.1-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build70
i want to use kmail with external editor (vim...).
In older versions there was a possibility. In above version i didn't found
this.
Any help available?
Thanks,

Hey Harald,
It does work, I am writing this email in external vim editor.
You need to go to settings -> plugins and enable External Composer Plugin,
and set up the command to launch external editor.
Mine is
/usr/bin/alacritty -e /usr/bin/nvim %f
Make sure you have full paths as env vars don't work in this scenario and
shortcuts like ~ do not get expanded.
After you need to restart kmail/kontact. Then external editor will open
automatically when you start writing an email
