Calm down, there is absolutely no worries.
Since you are posting on the user support mailing list, no messages means more likely there is not much support needed.
We just came back from Milano where we this years Akademy was held, and, with over 170 participants (those that registered and attended, not counting those registering on site), I can assure you, there are no cadavers in sight ;-)

P.P.S. Of course we have project specific mailing lists, as well as developer specific ones, with over 200 projects in the KDE family one mailing list would not be enough

yes, it does give that impression but as more and more topic specific mailing lists appear, the email queries get spread out. I expect the devs might have a different mailing list
