What I've done so far is create my own "Look and feel" theme which sets the default color scheme and various other settings. I've created my own "desktop theme", I've created my own "Application Color Scheme", and using qt5ct I've created a custom widget style.

No idea, to be honest. But I build all KF5/Plasma5 stuff I have installed from source, and I have no reason to change this particular path so I have to assume it's the default.
