Reposting this for emphasis, in case it got lost in the larger thread 
tangent.

I'd try 'em all.  Hopefully one meets the low-click-count metric you're 
after.  (In particular, kamera should be a less complicated kde 
alternative that might meet that need, and gtk/gnome's alternatives may 
help there as well, given the general focus there on ease of "simple" 
use, as opposed to kde's general focus on options and customizability.)
