no it's not the expected behavior . you should report a bug

Hello

Selecting category from KDE menu (either Kickoff or a classic one) and clicking "Add to panel" or "Add to desktop" action in context menu adds this category's icon correctly, but when clicking on it - it actually displays full menu (as in, lists all categories). Is it expected behaviour? This seems counter-intuitive to the action's name and description in UserBase, which implies that it's only the actual category that gets added to panel or desktop, not a copy of whole launcher only with different icon: http://userbase.kde.org/Plasma/Kickoff .

I use Arch Linux with KDE 4.9.2.
