It is my opinion that there is no clear road-map for KDE. To many KDE supplied applications either work poorly or don't work at all. Part of the problem is they they are trying to support to many architectures / operating systems. If they focused on one I think they would be able to produce a better product. It has been my observation that every update corrects one existing problem but exposes a new flaw.
