Anne, I think that Maurice is talking about a kde installation running on windows (kdeinit4.exe). I´m not sure as I don´t run kde on windows but u should check for kdeinit4.exe entries on windows registry. Run regedit command and check on these two paths:([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE][HKEY_CURRENT_USER])/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Startup/. Anyway, I´m sure someone else can give you more certain indications. When you boot up you usually see a splash screen that tells you to use F2 or Del to access the Bios settings. After that the screen often goes black for a couple of seconds, maybe with a still white cursor in the top left corner. Then the cursor starts to blink. At that point you have maybe 3 seconds or less to interrupt it. When you think it's about to get to that point, hit the down-arrow, tapping it slowly until the screen changes. From your wording I assume that you are dual-booting, so when you do that you will see the option to boot into Windows. If this isn't what you need, tell us a bit more and we'll see if we can get you where you want to be :-) Anne -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk9iM1IACgkQj93fyh4cnBdhQgCeKU6JAay42jrwMy0CyD/pSr2l YtgAn2GTDYQ+dj/xOij2Pdj5D+afZRgW =q8zD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde mailing list.
