I've experienced really slow response from Java GUI application with desktop effects enabled.
Disabling desktop effects fixed the problem and now application works like a charm.
Java application used:
- IntelliJ 10.5.4 (swing application)
Hardware:
IMac-27 (i7, 12Gb, ATI 5750 graphic card)
OS:
Linux mint with KDE 4.7
the reason I'm writing this is to know if anyone else experienced anything like this, if so, can this be tweaked ?
I would also like to know about possible causes (ideas) to this issue.
