Also, the corners to the right are cut off (because otherwise > they would appear rounded.) Hmm... interesting. Background... I don't have a clock or calendar plasmoid on my current default desktop or panels (I have a superkaramba clock, tho, and before that I had a yasp- scripted plasmoid clock), so I don't have the normal methods used to invoke the calendar widget. However, to address that problem and give me a calender for reference, I have a hotkey setup to invoke the calendar using plasmoidviewer: plasmoidviewer calendar plasmoidviewer is what its name indicates, basically, a method to run a plasmoid in its own independent window (or in a container simulating a panel vertical or horizontal, or the desktop, or whatever). It was apparently designed to facilitate easy plasmoid development, since adding and updating changing code in a plasmoid in plasma itself troublesome to do repeatedly, and with plasma's single-threaded structure, one unstable plasmoid can freeze or crash the entire desktop! So running a developing plasmoid in its own window, on demand, facilitates far easier plasmoid development. =:^) But here I'm using plasmoidviewer for something else, to simply popup the calendar plasmoid on demand, using a hotkey, without it taking any resources at all the rest of the time, as it would if I added a clock plasmoid or the like, to click. What that means for this thread... Since I only invoke the calendar on demand, and I hadn't happened to need it since I installed 4.6.95 (4.7-rc2, the first kde pre-release I've installed, since until 4.5 kde /releases/ weren't more than pre-release quality, so I've been taking it slow), I hadn't tried it until reading your post. Trying it, yes, I DEFINITELY get the twice-actual-calendar-width window -- the plasmoidviewer window is twice-width too. I can't confirm or deny the corner cut-off, tho, as the plasmoid-viewer window displays it without the rounded corners anyway. But yes, I can confirm the worst bit of the bug, the double-width aspect, and what's more, I confirm it in quite a different environment than most people would run it. I presume this was the first step in checking for and filing a bug, if one's not already filed? Please report the bug number here (and cc me too if you wish), and I can post my results on it, as well. -- Duncan - List replies preferred. No HTML msgs.
