My fonts were fine, my resolution was correct and well to be honest my desktop system was working perfectly. I'm sure i'll hit a few things as i use it but I was pretty impressed at how smooth it was. I am unsure why you're system turned out like that however this is my second Kubuntu maverick install and I couldn't be happier. I've heard only good things so far, until i read your email :) I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. If you would like to help Kubuntu to improve I'd suggest filing some bug reports with each of the issues you're encountering and perhaps we can work out why you're having a bad experience and work to fix it. If not, then I am sure there are some great distros which will better suit your needs. Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, OpenSuse. OpenSuSe tend to have a reputation for delivering a great KDE experience so perhaps you might like to try that first if you're interested in KDE. I certainly don't think anyone is wasting their time on Kubuntu. There are alot of happy users of the system and at the end of the day no one is forcing you to use Kubuntu. kind regards Andrew ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde mailing list.
