Thanks. I looked at the kmailrc, but I didn't know which option to edit. I was searching for 'messagestruct', or even 'tructur' to avoid case difference. Now I know that I should search for 'MIMETreeLocation'. It's so... intuitive. I remember that I set the position of the message structure view to the top of the preview of the mail. However this time I got rid of all my kde settings and started a new one after upgrading to KDE 4.4.3 with Mandriva 2010.1. The reason was that akonadi really frustrated and upset me. Theoratically akonadi should run in the background, but I found that if I upgraded from 4.3 the akonadi didn't quite behave. Now I got rid of all my settings and started from zero, it was quite cute so far. Thanks again for your help. Franklin
