Yes, I like it too.  And, yes, I had two rows of folders on the left 
side of my DeskTop that were link type desktop files.

I also like the pop up windows that show what is in the folder.  It 
would be nice if there was a way to configure the size -- I would like 
mine at least twice as large.

I also had an idea back when I was using KDE-3 to have a virtual 
In-Out-Working bins and perhaps one of those desktop file that holds 
folders temporarily while you are using them.
