Kate: double up on (), [], {}, "", and ''

Is there a way to define "macros" or "text replacement" such that
entering paired characters such as (), [], {}, "", and '' would be
easier? I am imagining that "Ctrl (" would enter "()" with the cursor
between the parenthesis, and similar for the rest of the characters.
Can Kate do this?
