In 3.5.9 on openSUSE 11.0, as with other versions of KDE3 on other distros and releases: $ kcmshell xserver & would open a window showing the various output that running xdpyinfo in a shell would produce, same as last selection in KInfoCenter 3. This is true even though 'kcmshell --list' does not say anything about any xserver module being available. Now in openSUSE 11.3M5 running 4.4.2, even though KInfoCenter 4 does have an X Server section similar to that in KDE3, 'kcmshell4 xserver &' tells me 'could not find module xserver', confirming output of 'kcmshell4 --list' not showing any such module. How does one using 4.x produce a window equivalent to 'kcmshell xserver &' in KDE3? Is the xserver module for kcmshell4 in some optional rpm? -- "Suppos [sic] a nation in some distant region, should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . .
