Hi
I had this problem on my gentoo box.
I solved it by installing a recent version of media-sound/phonon (4.3.80)
I had an older version installed and the package manager didn't updated it
because its version was 4.4_pre20090520
Note that media-sound/phonon and kde-base/phonon-kde are different packages.
