Thanks Anne but I still prefer konqueror. I had actually found a setting this AM
under Advanced > KDE Resources. It appeared once omly but extended file
informatiom was tic'd. Can't get back to it now. Like its dissappeared.
I reverted back to a konquerorrc backup and now have tooltips clicked under
General and file info appears
Maybe it is time to move on to kde-3.3.3
