Hi,
neither. I'm using the HDA Intel (STAC92xx Analog) device output.
Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01)
With the snd_hda_intel kernel driver.

Hi again,

on my system, when I run amarok, it locks the sound device, and
afterwords no application ca play any sound.
Yet, if I don't use amarok, I can use several applications that use the
sound device at the same time.

Anyone with the same problem?
I read about it on some forum, can't remember where.

Some hardware supports hardware based mixing while some does not..
Using PulseAudio?
Using Dmix?
