It appears that the slider (which I note should NOT be on the status bar) should control the size of previews *only* and the size of icons should be set in the settings dialog. Then we would probably need a check box for: Lock Icon Size to Preview Size IIRC, KDE-3 has a way to make the previews larger than the icons. I would also suggest a check box for that.
