I agree that apps get bloated. However, the KPart for GwenView can be
used in Konqueror is not bloated, in fact, I find that it lacks the
needed features for viewing images. The KPart is not an app and to use
it stand alone, you need a shell that does nothing except to provide the
menubar and toolbars and use the KFile dialog to open files.

Probably a matter personal preference so we can't presume that all users
will agree with you.
