Ok I'm using kde.4.2.3 now

When I click the above link I never even get a browser, just an error popup with the message "ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/ is a folder, but a file was expected."

I can copy the url into a konqueror navigation bar and open the site but cannot get access into any folder. The same thing as above, it asks what I want to do then says its a folder and a file was expected.

Interestingly I can enter a directory by putting the url including the directory in the navigation bar. For example, I can not click into the directory acct at ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu. I get the messages as above. However, if I enter the complete path like this ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/acct I can get into that directory.

If I up arrow out of the directory then try to click back into it I get the error
