Nope, this is not what I want.  There I can only select whether the
task bar stays on the desktop or not.  What I want is that *during
switching* the task bar becomes visible for a few seconds, then it
disappears again.  Apparently this feature has either been removed or
not implemented yet, which quite annoys me.
