I'm not sure when/whether it will be available. You might like to explore the
possibility of using Activities instead of Desktops. It seems to me that they
do a similar job, and they can have their own wallpapers. More importantly,
widgets can be in one activity without encroaching on another one.

as you know I only ask and never offer solutions. but if the point is to install wallpaper using simplicity logic:
1. Find wall paper you want and save.
2. open saved file+image+save as wallpaper
