Is this a no-no? $KDEHOME is where your settings are stored which is usually ~/.kde If both your kde3 and kde4 apps use the same location then your setup would have trouble as in this particular case, when in kde4 you set dolphin as default and the same setting is also used when you log into kde3. You see the problem? what is the output of "kde-config --localprefix" and "kde4-config --localprefix"? If both point to the same location then you may suffer the problem described above. -- Cheers!
