I've tried various things to get sound working in KDE 4.1.3 but none
work. I'm using Open Sound System 4 and have both Xine as well as
GStreamer installed. I also tried to use the "external player" setting
to get sound, but the player (ossplay) doesn't even get called by KDE.
How do I get sound? Note that applications not using the KDE 4 sound
system have no problem with sound. They play just fine. KDE 3 does
also (with "ossplay" as external player.)
