another trial (#3) this time I wrote all my user files to a CD in the Sony DVD/CD R/W Burn finished and CD ejected and pulled back in for verify data. Error message asking for CD I manually ejected CD and reloaded it I had to select load and force to continue Period of time passed and the verify completed. At least I know the Sony CD/DVD R/W drive can write an ISO image when F10 comes out! Plextor $120 (has problem, didn't write at all) and required reboot to clear Sony $50 only had to force CD back in for verify When I burned F9 ISO, the verify didn't work at all. Maybe I should have manually reloaded it and hit load or force ________________________________ > Date: Thu, 2 Oct 2008 22:29:59 +0200 > From: cv.schmitt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > To: kde@xxxxxxxxxxxx; cannewilson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: k3b will not burn > > > Hello Anne, > > when you download the sources of k3b, then you can read the package-dependencies > there in README- or INSTALL - files. k3b needs some plugins. thats all. > Val. > > > > > 2008/9/30 Anne Wilson > > I discovered recently that I couldn't burn disks from this laptop, when it was running Mandriva 2008.1 + KDE 4. I had to log in to a KDE3 session. Now I'm using OpenSUSE, and I still can't burn. Is this a known problem, or just a coincidence?
