About 4.1 and 4.2 slowdown

I recently installed latest trunk from SVN, and I am really impresed with evolution of KDE since 4.0 (which I tested from SVN too), but I noticed a strange thing it had already since 4.0, but became worse in 4.1
I know I am not the only one user having this trouble according to what google says, but I notice a terribly slowdown in all KDE which I don't know what is the cause. But the issue is that it takes at least two or three seconds since I do an event (click, drag and drop, etc.) until the event is executed (raise menu for example).
This is NOT criticism, but I am just curious of what could be the cause to make that that slow (I'm in a core2 duo 1.8 with 2GB of RAM): QT4.4? KDE4 codebase? Or what else?
I repeat, I know SVN is unstable (and 4.1 is too nowadays), it is only curiosity, and thus is the reason I am just asking (and not complaining :) )
