I've tried to play the kde41.ogg screencast on a bunch of players (mplayer, vlc, realplayer, etc). Realplayer opens the file ok (which, hovering the mouse over the file shows it to be Theora Video), but Realplayer only displays the screenshot that displays when I hover over the file. The progress bar moves, but the image doesn't change. I tried Kaboodle also on my Debian Lenny install, which amazingly starts to work its way through the various screenshots, but as with Realplayer the CPU is seriously being hammered. After a few seconds running it on Kaboodle, I get an Error - artsmessage, which says "Sound server fatal: cpu overload, aborting". I ok this, and Kaboodle crashes out. I thought I might need to specify a filter for the file type, so tried Theora Video, but with the same results. It would be nice to see this screencast, as I don't yet have anything installed that uses KDE4, and the file did take a while to DL on dialup. Any ideas folks.
