Yes! but i am using kubuntu edgy which does not defaut to using KPowersave 
but rather guidance-power-. Is there also an equivalent call to guidance?

Ps. I just built kpowersave 0.7.1 and it work. Thanks!
I believe this version of kpowersave and guidance both use HAL to suspend.
