Saying that I've just opened Kmix on Kubuntu, and that does have treble and bass sliders, but it is a very different Kmix to what I normally see. Anyway back to the plot. I'd also go to Kmix/Settings/ConfigureKMix, and uncheck the box "Restore volumes on login" . Kmix has had a habit of interfering with Alsamixer settings when you login to KDE. The way this appears to work is this. When you bootup /usr/sbin/alsactl restore is run, which restores Alsamixers settings to the state they were in when you shutdown. When you get to the login stage Alsamixers settings are correct, but when you login to KDE, Kmix (if the restore volumes at login box is checked) changes Alsamixers settings to whatever was the default in Kmix. It's worth a try. Nigel. ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde mailing list. Account management: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde.
