Oops, nevermind, I just "figured it out"--I needed to set (in cron) DISPLAY=:0 XAUTHORITY=/root/.xauthKOoIQi BTW, first time through I just tried setting the DISPLAY and got these errors. (I'm also guessing that .xauthKOoIQi file is named differently for different users/machines?--Hope I'm not giving away any security on my system by putting the name here.) Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified kstart: cannot connect to X server :0 Thanks again for all the (previous) help!
