korganizer applet woes

Hi all,

The korganizer applet (korgac process) on my system is misbehaving.

The organizer applet is shown on the system tray. However, when I click on it,
nothing happens. Neither korganizer as a standalone application, nor kontact
with the respective part activated show up. It appears that my system has
trouble launching these.

This may be related to the fact that, when I press Alt+F2 and
run "korganizer", I get an error message saying:

	KDEInit could not launch 'korganizer'

Notably, this only occurs if kontact is NOT running at the time. If kontact is
running, the korganizer launch feedback icon appears near the mouse cursor,
but again nothing happens.

Interestingly enough, if I open up a konsole window and type 'korganizer', the
program runs without a problem. Also, if I launch kontact and click on
the "Calendar" icon on the left toolbar, the korganizer part is shown with no
problems. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I've installed KDE 3.5.5 through kubuntu edgy packages.
