Thank you very much for your attention and investigation of the problem. I get the same errors in the Java Console and will research a little more. However, there must be some problem in Konqueror, once the applets work fine in other browsers... With this site I mentioned, the graph applet fails completely (but the ticker works, as you've noted), however there are others in which the applet runs apparently ok but displays wrong data. In this case no error is logged in Java Console and this kind of problem is, in my opinion, much worse.
