Please look at the old message thread: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde&m=109362423215050&w=2 I'm experiencing exactly the same problem! In addition I can only say that I can "change the volume" only between 0% and 10%. The slider simply does not go above 10%, despite how many times I click the volume+ button. As in that post, no volume change happens. I can't even guess what channel does it change... seems like none. And again, I can't find who grabs volume+ and volume- keys BEFORE they reach KDE keyboard manager... This problem is both reproducible on Kubuntu 6.06 and SuSE 10.1 ALSA is installed and is fine. I'm able to run and play with alsamixer. Sound is generally fine. KDE 3.5.5, KMix 2.6 Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard xorg.conf: ... I'm able to provide any additional info you need. Thank you! Michael. ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde mailing list.
