normal dir $HOME/audio has a red plug icon overlay on it

i'm using kde 3.5 and i cannot seem to get rid of the red electrical plug overlay. if i rename the dir it goes away, but as long as it is named audio it has the overlay.

is this a kde bug? it seems like it thinks it is a device or something and recognizing it by name.

but i have other machines where this is not an issue.
