Different scaling in kpdf and kghostview

Can anyone tell me why a pdf document viewed in kpdf (at 100%) should have the wrong width (e.g. correct line width = 17cm, kpdf displays 15cm), while kghostview (also 100%) displays it correctly? Not only that, but the corresponding kpdf print size is different again (16cm), while the print result with kghostview is again correct. (Acroread also displays and prints correctly)
