Hello, I use the audiocd kioslave to rip CDs and encode to mp3. The filenames are taken from the CDDB and appear to be enocded correctly. (for example the accents in the spanish versiion of Shakira - Fijacion Oral). But the ID3 tags seem to have a problem with the encoding, amarok and my iPod nano for example show titles that look like that: Escondite inglés id3info shows correct title on the command line: florian@horus ~/Desktop/Musik/Lieder/Shakira/Shakira - Fijacion Oral $ id3info Shakira\ -\ Escondite\ inglés.mp3 *** Tag information for Shakira - Escondite inglés.mp3 === TSSE (Software/Hardware and settings used for encoding): LAME v3.96.1 === TIT2 (Title/songname/content description): Escondite inglés === TPE1 (Lead performer(s)/Soloist(s)): Shakira === TALB (Album/Movie/Show title): Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 [DualDisc] === TYER (Year): 2005 === TRCK (Track number/Position in set): 6 === TCON (Content type): (13) *** mp3 info MPEG1/layer III Bitrate: 192KBps Frequency: 44KHz My locale is: LANG = de_DE.UTF-8 Thanks, Florian ___________________________________________________ .
