Problem solved I think... I went into the KDE control panel and under KDE Components -> Session Manager selected "empty session" at startup. Looks like KDE was trying to restore my previous session all the time.

Hi all,

I've uninstalled a program [ksmoothdock] but KDE is still trying to launch it every time I log in.

The executable and other program files are definitely gone, and I've got no ksmoothdock entry in my home directory .kde/Autostart.

How can I stop KDE trying to launch this program?

thanks, Simon
