first k3b complained about an illegal file name, then the machine locked, after reboot, any subsequent attempt to get k3b to write to dvd locked up......forced re-install of the rpm's did not help....
Hardware checked? Could be a hardware problem cause it first locked and then it declines every attempt to burn... try the same drive in another pc...maybe even with window$ or just another burner with which u can go sure that it's working correctly with another burner...
