Mac OS-style menubar: strange behavior

I just enabled the Mac-OS style menubar, but it's behaving in a strange way. I 
have used it in the past and it has worked fine, but now I just can't get it 
to work right. All the menu-entries are grouped to the right side of the 
menubar, and that's obviously wrong. Is there any way to get them lined up to 
the left side of the menubar, like they should?
