Certain versions of crossover mess with KDE image file types: see

I'm told the very latest versions don't have this bug, so you might want to
make sure you've got the latest version. Try uninstalling crossover to see
if it's crossover that's causing the problem.

Hm, I don't wanna uninstall it 'n dare the situation, that I won't be able to reinstall all after that cause i have some tricky Windows stuff running. Is there a way to back it up completely, that I would de able to just play that back if something goes wrong and then everything would be exactly the same again?
