Auto update feature in KDE?

I seem to recall an auto update feature on GNOME it would turn red and 
tell me there updates avail on the apps I was running is there such a 
feature on KDE? If there is I cannot find it..any insight would be 
appreciated. If there is a util app that does this that would be great
