Hm. I have been using email forwarding mostly for approving messages 
in a majordomo mailing list. And now, after the reply of kitts 
(thanks!), I checked with other emails as well. Well, it looks 
alright there.

So the forwarding problem seems to appear only with emails which have 
a large row of headers within the text area, which is normal for a 
majordomo list email that needs to be approved.

As example: After choosing > Forward > Inline (in my German GUI of 
KMail 1.9.1) the composer window shows the following - note that the 
text area of the original message beginns with "From 
blabla@xxxxxxxxx" which is _after a blank line_.
