atrl alt delete sure works from the linux console and might do so from KDE 
too but is not guaranteed. KDE can use the key strokes for other tasks. 
Like on my system it opens KSysGuard!

Using ctrl alt backspace for any reason other than that 'KDE has crashed' is 
definitely not a good idea. Unless of course, you are absolutely sure of 
what you are doing!

For the last one year that i have used linux and KDE, i have very rarely had 
to use ctrl alt backspace.
